Juventus are desperate to snap up Bologna starlet Riccardo Calafiori in the summer and have identified two players who could be sent as part of a swap deal for the Bayer Leverkusen target.

The 21-year-old Italian defender has been one of the stars of the show in Thiago Motta’s high-flying squad this term, proving himself to be one of the most exciting up and coming centre backs in Serie A, providing four assists and displaying his defensive skills across 35 total appearances.

Calafiori has three years left on his contract with Bologna but is looking on track to make the jump to a top club in the summer, having already proven himself on a weekly basis in the Italian topflight. He has already attracted attention from Juventus, Bayer Leverkusen and Tottenham.

Calafiori plans

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli is ready to send two players in exchange for Calafiori, with Bologna being fans of youngster Tommaso Barbieri and defender Tiago Djalo.

The Italian centre back appreciates the interest of Bayer Leverkusen but has given priority to the Old Lady and is now waiting for an agreement to be reached between the two clubs, who have been in close contact over the last few weeks. He has a €25m price tag, an accessible fee for the Bianconeri.
